By meeting stringent indoor air quality criteria, based on the Furniture Emission Standard (FES) established by the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA), Casbah earned Scientific Certification Systems’ (SCS) Indoor Advantage™ certification.
Indoor Advantage certification can help contribute points toward earning a USGBC LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Rating.
Casbah is also certified level™ 2 by SCS for meeting the criteria of the BIFMA e3 Sustainability Standard. Additionally, it features National’s environmentally-friendly IntegraClear™ finish. IntegraClear is the proprietary, water-based finish process cured via ultraviolet light (UV) resulting in a low-emitting, energy saving method that produces exceptional durability and clarity in National’s wood products.
