JASPER, IN – Furthering its commitments to social and environmental responsibility, National Office Furniture is proud to sponsor and provide sustainable furniture to Forest Products Solutions’ FSC School at the Greenbuild Expo, November 11-13, 2009. Upon the conclusion of Greenbuild, Forest Product Solutions, National Office Furniture and other FSC School sponsors will donate the furniture and materials to the Phoenix Day Child and Family Learning Center. Phoenix Day is the oldest continually operating nonprofit early childhood care and education program in Arizona. They are currently in their 95th year of servicing the region.
“Through the generous efforts of the FSC School project, the children, families and faculty of Phoenix Day Child and Family Learning Center are excited to benefit from the new furniture. Since many of our larger pieces of furniture are in need of replacement from years of wear and tear, all of the donations from the Greenbuild Expo will support our mission and efforts in providing high quality early care and education for the children of the Phoenix metropolitan area … and for that, we are most grateful,” says Katherine Anthony, community administrative coordinator, Phoenix Day.
The FSC School will focus on inspiring and educating architects, interior designers, developers, etc. about the importance of selecting wood products originating from environmentally sound, socially respectful and economically viable managed forests.
