ATLANTA – Architects and designers who seek sustainable building credits can now take advantage of an improved online resource for creating healthier, more comfortable interior environments.
The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) recently unveiled its newly redesigned Web site, which offers the A&D community a comprehensive overview of indoor air quality, its impact on human health and sustainable design, and the ways in which indoor environments can incorporate low-emitting products and materials.
The new site—which features a new layout and improved navigability thanks to a convenient menu bar and easy pull-down tabs—also provides architects and designers with a completely redesigned database of low-emitting products and materials that can earn green building and design credits.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer architecture and design professionals a more user-friendly GREENGUARD Product Guide℠,” says Henning Bloech, executive director of GEI. “Our guide is the largest of its kind in the world, and is an indispensable tool for planning and designing indoor environments with superior interior air quality.”
In addition to the revamped product guide, the new Web site offers important information on GEI’s Continuing Education Units—accredited courses that help architects and designers earn sustainability credits from organizations like USGBC, AIA, IDCIC, and CSI. The site also gives architects and designers one-click access to an IAQ Management Plan, which can be used as a supplement to Master Specification Section One.
An expansive new FAQ section, a comprehensive listing of key GEI contacts, and a calendar of events outlining various industry conferences and trade shows in which GEI participates are also featured on the new site.
