NEW YORK—The Board of Directors of Stone Source recently announced the appointment of Joe MacIsaac, formerly President of Knoll International, as president and CEO of the company. Stone Source is a leading provider of natural stone, porcelain, ceramic and glass tile, and reclaimed wood to architects, designers and contractors.
“After completing a lengthy and extensive search for our new president and CEO, the Board is delighted to have Joe MacIsaac join us to lead the company,” says Robert Berenson, interim CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. “Joe’s extensive sales management background and leadership skills will help strengthen the service we give to our clients, continue the company’s strong growth, and help us expand into new markets across the U.S.”
As president of Knoll International, Mr. MacIsaac led the business to a fivefold revenue increase, opened and structured a Middle East regional office in Dubai, and expanded his company into multiple competitive emerging global markets. In addition to his executive leadership experience, he also has extensive sales experience in the architecture and design industry.
MacIsaac is an acknowledged leader in the design industry. Currently he is a member of the International Advisory Committee of the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies in Dublin, Ireland. In 2008 he served on the jury for the International Architecture Awards, and in 2009 he served on the jury for The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design GOOD DESIGN Awards.
