Indiana Furniture Expansion Project Underway

The company has invested in a new 30,000-square-foot expansion to an existing facility, which includes state-of-the-art equipment.

JASPER, Ind.—Jasper Mayor Terry Seitz, along with state and local officials, joined representatives of Indiana Furniture, on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, to celebrate the groundbreaking for their new 30,000-square-foot expansion to their existing Plywood facility, which includes state-of-the-art equipment. The company is investing more than $6 million in 2012 and hopes to have the facility operational by the end of the year. 

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Indiana Furniture up to $100,000 in training grants based on the company's job creation plans. Additionally, the city of Jasper approved economic development incentives in the way of property tax abatements. 

Developed by Universal Design, Ferdinand, Indiana, construction has begun on the 30,000-square-foot expansion. Krempp Lumber of Jasper, Indiana is the general contractor. The existing facility produces raw materials for the company's office furniture and seating manufacturing facilities.
