CALHOUN, Ga.—Mannington Commercial has developed and released Apt, an app designed to make tablets more useful than ever for the design, specification and client presentation process.
“Despite the increasing popularity among A+D and end users of using tablets for both product research and client presentations, there are very few tablet apps that serve the interior design process,” says Natalie Jones, vice president for brand development and creative product. “Apt serves as a research and inspiration tool as well as client presentation resource, bringing several major functions together in a unified, simple, beautiful interface.”
No other tablet application allows architects, interior designers and end users to see a manufacturer’s complete line of products, order samples, reference all technical literature for all products, and create and email multiple design boards to clients.
The app makes it easy for users to search products across Mannington Commercial’s portfolio of flooring choices, from carpet to resilient sheet, LVT to rubber and more. It also helps users search for coordinating products across the whole product portfolio, view an inspiration gallery of projects, access designer and end-user videos, order samples, and research technical and installation specs.
The app even includes a tackboard, where coordinating products can be viewed together. An image of the tackboard can be emailed to clients or collaborators, or a sample of every product on the board can be ordered with a single click. Users can even create presentations showing gallery images for inspiration and reference, coordinating products and more, and email a PDF of these presentations to collaborators or clients.
Designed with user experience in mind, the app is easy to use without any navigation instructions or learning curve. Apt is available by searching for "Mannington" or "Apt" in the iPad App Store.
