    NCARB Broadens Opportunities to Earn IDP Hours

    The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) has announced additional opportunities for interns to earn experience hours. These two opportunities build upon the experience areas announced in April as part of IDP 2.0. The academic internship experience, originally capped at 930 hours, will now have no cap.

    Call for Interior Design Mentors for ASID Real World Design Week, Nov. 4-10

    RealWorld DesignWeek, the annual nationwide mentoring program created by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), is scheduled to take place during the week of Nov. 4–10. ASID has had more than 4,000 members participate since the program launched in 2007 and this year has already surpassed the record-setting numbers from 2011.

    Maharam and German Artist Thomas Bayrle Collaborate on Installation for 2012 Frieze London Art Fair

    At the behest of the Frieze Foundation, Maharam and the German artist Thomas Bayrle collaborated on an ambitious, 180-foot long installation based on his 1967 silkscreened shoes series for this year’s Frieze London art fair. Frieze London, focusing solely on contemporary art and living artists, took place Oct. 11–14 in London’s Regent’s Park.
