The Council for Interior Design Qualification, Inc. (CIDQ) has just released two multiple-choice practice tests for exam candidates and others to use when preparing for the new computer-based multiple-choice exams, the Interior Design Fundamentals Examination (IDFX) and the Interior Design Professional Examination (IDPX).
The practice tests are availablethrough the Prometric delivery system, the same company that administers the computer-based NCIDQ Examinations. Developed in response to candidates who wanted valid, reliable study materials directly from CIDQ, the practice quizzes represent a “one-stop” delivery option for candidates taking the IDFX and/or IDPX.
CIDQ has launched two practice tests—one for each of the two multiple-choice exams. IDFX addresses the content areas of building systems, construction standards and design application. IDPX addresses building systems, codes, professional practice and project coordination. Each practice test contains 50 questions, reflecting the same percentage of questions in each content area that appears on the actual exam. The cost of each practice test is $65.
The computer-delivered multiple-choice examinations will be administered at more than 300 Prometric locations in North America over a eight-day window beginning April 18. Approved exam candidates can register for exams via the Prometric registration portal at www.prometric.com/ncidq.
