KCCT’s practice rests on a wide foundation of public and institutional clients.

Karn Charuhas Chapman & Twohey (KCCT) kicked off a year-long celebration of its 30th anniversary on April 1.

KCCT’s practice rests on a wide foundation of public and institutional clients, having completed innovative sustainable projects in 114 countries, and over 400 projects in the Washington Region, using diverse delivery methods and high performance technologies.

The firm was founded on April 1, 1983 by four partners and two associates. The six founding members of the firm had worked together extensively before starting their own firm. Today, five principals lead the firm: John W. Chapman, Enrique A. Bellini, Karl Miller, Paul Phillips and Christopher Peoples.

Founding partner John Chapman said, “KCCT owes much of its initial success to the founding members’ distinct, yet complementary skills. Strong design credentials were a common denominator, but we also had individual strengths.”

Principal Enrique Bellini said, “Above all, we value our existing clients and will continue to serve them unremittingly.  We are charting our future deliberately, to allow diversification and strategic collaboration into areas of higher education, cultural institutions, mixed use projects and a variety of public-private partnerships.”
