Mohawk Group Goes Pink for Breast Cancer

New initiative asks the A&D community to wear pink and upload images to Instagram.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and flooring manufacturer The Mohawk Group is encouraging the A&D community to get involved with a unique social media opportunity.

Mohawk is asking the design community to help spread awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection by wearing pink on Friday, October 25 (and throughout the month). Those interested in participating should snap a picture of themselves, and upload the image to Instagram with the hashtag, #specifyforacure.

The Mohawk Group has been a corporate partner with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the last 12 years with its Specify for a Cure sales program, which donates $.25 per square yard of carpet sold when designers specify 500 yards of carpet or more from seven select carpet collections from Mohawk. Since 2001, Mohawk Group has contributed more than $3.9 million to Komen on behalf of its customers and employees.
