We here at i+s have had the honor of meeting so many wonderful and talented designers over the years, and now we’d like to return the favor. Every month we will be introducing design students and recent alumni recognized for going above and beyond.
This Spring, we teamed up with Arauco’s Prism brand to launch the Pop Up Office competition. Tasked with integrating the Prism TFL within the workspace in new and intriguing ways while remaining feasible to create, and focusing on sustainability.
The finalists were judged by a panel of esteemed professionals in the industry who based each entry on whether they were able to create a workspace with a small footprint that integrated a sophisticated aesthetic, feasibility, sustainability, and ease of use.
While there were a great number of amazing projects that came through, industrial designer Zac Feltoon was crowned the competition winner for his entry, “Totem.”
The stand-alone cube is an all-in-one office space, including a rolling filing cabinet/cubby, standing desk, and lighting system, all while maintaining a simple, yet sophisticated, aesthetic.
Zac Feltoon is a Pratt Institute graduate where he received a degree in industrial design. In 2014, he founded his multidisciplinary firm, Zac Feltoon Design, LLC, focusing on furniture, product, and interior design projects. Congratulations, Zac, and we look forward to seeing what else you do in the future.
