Chemetal Expands Manufacturing Plant and Conserves Energy

Chemetal, one of the leading U.S. manufacturers of metal and laminate designs, has expanded its Easthampton, Mass., manufacturing plant and warehouse by 32,000 square feet, doubling the size to 64,000 square feet. The expansion has also enlarged Chemetal’s office space to 8,000 square feet

Measures to improve power efficiency and conserve energy will be the addition of 16,000 square feet of solar panels to the southerly exposed roof of new building. Chemetal projects this will cut its power consumption in half. The project will be completed by beginning of 2017.
