FLASHY FAÇADES
GKD's Mediamesh® combines stainless steel wire mesh with IT-based LED technology to create a permanent, integrated media-based façade system. A woven cable mesh type is configured to form a mechanical interface for special round profiles into which LEDs are inserted. Displays can be operated via the Internet. Product can be woven and finished in any shape or size and display images from simple graphics to video-quality output. System is weather- and temperature-resistant.

Products add dramatic texture and color while providing good outward visibility and free air circulation. Aerobrise louvers (pictured here) are available in 100-mm blade, 200-mm blade, 60-mm flat, and 41-mm-diameter tube profiles. All louvers and screens are made from aluminum with a minimum of 70-percent recycled content and are available in standard and custom colors and several perforation options.

Fabcon's VersaCore+GreenTM precast concrete wall panels feature up to 58-percent post-consumer waste recycled products by volume and an increased R-value over previous product offering. Panels are manufactured in sizes from 8 to 12 inches thick and widths up to 12 feet for use in a variety of climates and building applications. Based on 2006 International Energy Conservation Code, product has an R-value of up to 13 for 8-inch panel, 18 for 10-inch panel, and 21 for 12-inch panel. Unusable panels can be crushed and recycled into more panels.
