Unika Vaev
Drawing on her experience of growing up amidst cornfields in the Northern Illinois countryside, Unika Vaev's director of design, Ashley Allen Short, has created a new group of textiles called the Pastoral Collection. These three new fabrics, Furrows, Windmill and Fleece, are a tribute to this landscape-flat and rolling; shaped as much by farming as by the retreat of the glaciers at the end of the last ice age. The Pastoral Collection is rooted at the moment when the land is at its most promising, as the austerity of winter begins to break into the promise of spring.
