In Soiree, Stacy Garcia’s newest collection of high-end hospitality fabrics designed for Hunter Douglas Hospitality, Garcia was inspired by tenets of the Art Nouveau movement. Soiree’s fabrics employ select weaving techniques, including striee and matte lisse, as well as a variety of yarns with varying textures and thicknesses. The result is a collection evoking the dynamic undulating and flowing rhythm of the Art Nouveau movement, in particular the stained glass of Louis Comfort Tiffany.Constructed of semi-rigid molded foam over a durable steel frame, Global’s KATE is ideal for conference and meeting room applications as well as for general seating around an office.  In her New York-based design studio, Sandy Chilewich continues to discover ways to push textiles beyond their comfortable and sometimes monotonous context. Chilewich signature woven vinyls—with application possibilities ranging from wall-to-wall flooring, floor tile, area rugs, wall coverings, and upholstery fabric—are available in a wide selection of weaves and colors.
Available in 120 choices, including woodgrains, patterns and solid colors, Abet Laminati’s commercial laminate flooring is a premium product ideal for areas subjected to greater wear, such as retail, hospitality and office environments. A true no-maintenance flooring product, it is resistant to intense impact, heat, bacteria, and UV rays. Additionally, no urea formaldehyde was used to make this product and it has low-VOC emission levels. In today’s competitive business landscape, organizations are learning that when people can connect, great collaboration can happen. Ceiling or suspension mounted for indirect halogen lighting, the reflective units (pebbles) are made of molded thermoplastic with a polished chrome finish. Bouncing light between their taught biomorphic surfaces, these pebbles reflect off each other, and their surrounding environment.
Created with designers in mind, ECOsurfaces’ ECOshapes offer a myriad of choices and out-of-the-box options for beautiful floor creations that are anything but ordinary. Beginning January 2009, ECOshapes will be introduced in three versatile shapes that work well together or alone: a diamond (45-degree angles); a 24-inch hollow frame; and a 12-inch square that can be used with the frame or the diamond. The color patterns for ECOshapes were carefully selected to offer the ultimate in versatility with unique combination options sure to complement any interior. Distinctive Ikat and Vivid Ombre feature linear accents that include unique and intense gradations from light to dark. The appearance of shading is achieved through texture and color transitions maximized by Bentley Prince Street’s solution-dyed yarn program. Made possible by the new Light line of Livinglass materials, “Curves” is the first decorative laminated glass that can be made in curved profiles. Curves, like Light, is made with 100 percent recycled resin and real glass, and is a thinner, lighter version of the classic Luxe materials. As with all Livinglass products, the use of real glass, not plastic, allows for easy cleaning with household or industrial cleaners, without scratches or discoloring. When other decorative panels leave you flat, Curves let you bend the Light.

 Architects and designers seek dynamic ways to complement their designs with imagery, shape and eye-catching aesthetics. Today, design professionals have a new option from USG with the Libretto™ Gridless Metal Ceiling System, which creates islands, canopies, radial ceilings, and other dynamic shapes custom-tailored to the size, shape and architectural features of a space. Libretto features individually fabricated aluminum panels attached to a hidden steel carrier system. Panels interconnect to form a continuous plane uninterrupted by a traditional grid.
Playing to one of the design industry’s most satisfying pleasures—one-stop shopping—Karastan Contract continues to unite tufted modular and woven carpet in one cohesive collection with Covet. Floating Blue from Vetrazzo® is a durable and stunning surface material made from waste glass. Eric de Dormael and Sylvie Janvier, founders of Ombre Portée, design and manufacture illuminated sculptures based on research into light sources, including candlelight, a taste for natural, intimate light, and the effects of shadows and reflections. Teknion recently unveiled the Expansion desking line, one of the most extensive offerings in the freestanding desking category. New framed panel elements, freestanding screens, and storage components allow for the creation of individual workstations and open-plan clusters.
