Expanding and embracing the essence of modern living, TerraSpan doors can incorporate up to 10 panels per unit with a 12-foot maximum panel height. As each panel is 2.25-inches thick, they require minimum space when open – either nesting behind one another, or recessing into a pocket opening to disappear completely from view.
TerraSpan lift and slide doors can enhance a sustainable design project by inviting large, outside views and amounts of natural light. When opened, the units also contribute to natural ventilation. The doors are available in energy-efficient glass options. A broad palette of environmentally friendly finishes protects the exterior cladding, which includes recycled aluminum. A range of sustainably harvested wood species can be chosen for the interior trim.
Kolbe’s TerraSpan doors are offered in more than 900 operational configurations. Contributing to these nearly limitless possibilities, flush and recessed sills can be weep or non-weep, depending on the application. Three bottom rail choices also are available: the 4 5/8-inch, standard bottom rail height provides for the largest viewing area. The optional 8 11/16-inch bottom rail height perfectly blends with Kolbe’s other Ultra Series products. The optional 12-inch bottom rail heights meet ADA compliance.
For strength and security, TerraSpan doors feature multi-point locking hardware and may be selected in such popular finishes as satin nickel and oil rubbed. Finger pulls and on-wall holding plates for removable handles can be specially requested. Pocket covers are supplied to conceal the wall opening and finished to match the interior trim.
On the exterior, the extruded aluminum can be finished with durable anodize or versatile paint in a broad palette of distinctive standard, specialty, and custom colors. Divided lites, patterned or high-performance glass, and three screen options can be added to complete the look and functionality of TerraSpan doors.
