Ceiling Mount Wireless Access Point by Crestron

Now available, the Crestron CEN-WAP-ABG-CM Wireless Access Point (WAP) is the latest in a series of network Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions. The CEN-WAP-ABG-CM supports 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi and enables easy set-up, low-profile ceiling mount installation, 360-degree coverage, and enterprise level security and management capabilities.

The CEN-WAP-ABG is powered right through LAN wiring, so there’s no need for an adjacent electrical outlet. Installation is clean and simple: the CEN-WAP-ABG-CM mounts into a flat ceiling surface using a standard 1-gang plaster ring or wall box, and its white color blends nicely with a typical ceiling, or its cover can be removed and painted.

Connecting wireless devices to the control network is quick and easy, and doesn’t require configuration. Each unit ships with a unique network name and key. Simply enter the information in the touchpanel upon set-up and the connection is instantaneous. Network devices connected to the CEN-WAP are totally secure. It supports up to 152-bit WEP encryption, as well as the more advanced WPA and WPA2 authentication and encryption methods for a safe, secure wireless network.
