Moen Inc. introduces a new line of easy-to-operate FreeHand™ High Efficiency flush valves. These valves promote water and energy savings by using an infrared sensor beam to activate a flush cycle when a user is in range, ensuring efficient water use and the ultimate in sanitary protection.
FreeHand High Efficiency flush valves also help to promote water savings with new low-flow rates. Water closet flush valves feature a flow rate of 1.28 gallons per minute (gpm), a 20-percent savings from the industry standard of 1.6 gpm. FreeHand High Efficiency Urinal flush valves feature a flow rate of 0.5 gpm, a 50-percent savings from the industry standard of 1.0 gpm.
FreeHand High Efficiency flush valves are available in a variety of efficient options, including battery-powered flush valves that utilize standard lead-free AA Alkaline batteries, or low-powered AC adapters.
FreeHand High Efficiency flush valves feature:
- Solid brass, chrome-plated construction to withstand constant use.
- Advanced electronics to limit false sensing and over-flushing.
- Piston technology prevents water hammer, requiring little or no maintenance and outlasts diaphragm valves.
- 24-hour sentinel flush keeps the toilet clean and odor free.
- Self-cleaning filter system eliminates clogs and run-ons.
- Range of operating pressures, from 10 to 120 PSI.
- Manual override button which requires no power to activate, ensuring that the system is always operational.
- Mechanical override button that provides flushing in the event of a power loss.
- Self-lubricating silicone seals to prevent leaks, clogs, and run-ons.
- Slow-closing solenoid to prevent “water hammer” and “hard close.”
- Each unit adjusts to left or right installation, saving time and money.
Additionally, each FreeHand High Efficiency flush valve is equipped with vandal-resistant stop valves and meets all ADA-compliance requirements.
