Firestone Energy Solutions, a division of Firestone Building Products, is introducing the SunWave Daylighting System. A premium daylighting product for the commercial roofing industry, SunWave features a dome formation and unique, high-performance frame design that increases visual comfort for people inside the building while conserving energy.

With over 4,000 tiny prisms per square foot in the dome, SunWave’s pioneering design refracts direct sunlight while allowing the highest visible light transmittance. This technology will keep rooms bright enough to decrease the use of indoor electrical lighting up to 70 percent during daylight hours. The system is designed to eliminate glare and hotspots typically associated with traditional skylights, which means direct sunlight is being dispersed in such a way that products under the SunWave system will not be damaged. In addition, the insulated, condensation-resistant, thermally broken frame leaves no metal exposed on the interior, greatly reducing the formation of condensation.
