• RezShield System by Kaba

With the application of contactless RFID technology, this system offers benefits to assisted-living residents and property managers.

Kaba Multihousing & Institutional is raising the bar to protect residents and operators of assisted living facilities and multi-housing communities by launching the RezShield™ multi-housing access control system.

The RezShield system, which includes the new 79 contactless RFID electronic lock, continues this legacy.

With the application of contactless radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, the system offers benefits to the end-user residents and property managers. For residents with limited dexterity, for example, there’s no traditional key to insert into a lock and turn. Instead, a resident simply presents a modern credential – like a fob, wristband, or keycard – to the contactless lock to gain access to their room or common/activity areas. For property managers, the lock takes on an expanded role. It stores audit trails and lock-use history, tracks staff credentials, and monitors staff and resident activity – giving a property manager the ultimate control and staff accountability.
