Mima Tower Sky Lounge, New York

Oct. 28, 2014

Located in the clouds at 900 feet, the design of 1 MiMA Tower’s Sky Lounge celebrates the magnificent views of Manhattan and creates a modern, yet timeless exquisite “jewel box” for residents. Custom designed bronze screens create a sense of comfort inside the secluded, intimate club room. “Good art and design should have emotive qualities,” said Peggy Leung, designer of the space.

Art does not have to be universal, but design should enhance our lives in some way.
—Peggy Leung, owner of PLD Studio

“Sketching helped me to generate more ideas and become inspired.” The screens are reflected on the mirrored bar and fireplace, casting intricate reflections throughout an environment ideal for entertaining.
