VOA Architecture New York Welcomes New Design Director

March 5, 2015

Bill Bouchey will lead the workplace practice

As design director, Bill Bouchey will lead VOA New York’s workplace practice, managing a team of talented professionals and overseeing a range of projects. He brings 28 years of diverse experience and creative leadership in areas such as design concept planning, development, and quality standards.

“Workplace design has never been better and more fun,” Bouchey said, noting the current climate in the industry. His work is focused on creating agile environments and spaces that are flexible, multipurpose, and reactionary. “The key to workplace success is bringing all of the qualities of the brand and culture into the physical space.”

Bouchey will guide clients in creating a sense of place through a commitment to concept-based design excellence. He is driven by the belief that interior design empowers people and transforms organizations. To that end, he focuses on brand strategy and solutions to create a place that supports and enhances a client’s business objectives. He utilizes an options-based approach, partnering fully with clients throughout the design process.

Outside the office, Bouchey remains active in the industry, participating in the Contract Magazine Editorial Advisory Board, DIFFA Dining by Design, and Internet Week NYC. Prior to joining VOA, Bouchey completed a number of highly successful workplace projects for clients including WPP, Grey Advertising, Viacom, Milliken, Tough Mudder, and Teach for America.
