Concept Statement:
Aura is a sleek and modern representation of the unique and enigmatic environment in Iceland. The Aurora Borealis inspired the hotel's main lighting feature which guides visitors whimsically through the lobby. The space is accentuated with contrasts in color, lighting, and shape. Iceland's culture gracefully balances natural curves with geometric shapes; these concepts can be seen throughout the lobby within the space plan and the overall design of the space. This electric energy throughout the space contrasts with the serenity of the natural tones and materials to create an exciting environment for visitors hoping to get a unique Icelandic experience.
